Bali Bird Park

The Bali Bird Park is near Ubud and is a 40 min trip by taxi, from the kuta area. You will need at least a ½ Day to look around and a great idea is to have "Breakfast" with the birds. ( see your hotel for details.)
The park has a great range of birds housed in immaculate cages and set in beautiful surroundings. There is a great restaurant & gift shop that are well worth a visit while you are there.

Birds aren't the only exciting creatures at the park. Rare Komodo Dragons also make their home here. gardens the BALI BIRD PARK offers more than just a glorious myriad of bird life; a backdrop of ponds and waterfalls creates a perfect environment for, not only our birds, but also a Lotus and Wafer Lily collection.

As you stroll throughout the park, your eyes will continually alight on a multitude of diverse Palms and rich tropical flora. Wander through our mist-shrouded Walk-In Aviary - home to free flying birds in a dense rain-forest setting. With our advanced nursery, fully trained staff and Park Veterinarian, Bali Bird Park is a caring home for the birds and an unforgettable experience for visitors all ages.

More than 250 bird species—including hornbills, scarlet macaws, cassowaries, peacocks, and various birds of prey—are housed in more than 60 walk-in aviaries at this park. Different sections are dedicated to the various regions of the Indonesian archipelago, as well as Latin America and South Africa; and surrounding the feast of feathers and birdsong is in an immaculate haven of lawns, gardens, streams, and waterfalls. Natural showoffs, the birds are presented in special routines and feedings throughout the day. The park’s restaurant is so-so, but the gift shop has some remarkably good gear. There’s also a reptile park next door that’s worth a gander.

The park accommodates an amazing display of flora with more then 2000 tropical plants including 50 varieties of palms alone and attracting numerous butterflies.

Incorporating a breeding, research and veterinary facility within the complex, the park has a high success rate in the captive reproduction of exotic birds such as the Bird. of Paradise and Hornbill.

The park is divided into regions that recreate the natural habitats of our birds, complete with indigenous plant life and traditional artefacts for authenticity.
